NG3 Receives Order from Norwegian Electric Systems
NG3 gets an order from Norwegian Electric Systems to equip with PLUG the four newbuilt ropax vessels ordered by the Norwegian shipowner Havilla.
Purpose of the PLUG System
- These vessels will use PLUG not only for hotel load during the call, but as well to charge the battery of their hybrid propulsion system.
Design and Compatibility
This 1 kV PLUG design will be identical to the ones already installed on Hurtigruten vessels, in order to use the same quay side interfaces along the Norwegian west coast (Kystruten service route) from Bergen to Kirkenes.
Construction Locations
- Two vessels will be built at Barreras (Spain).
- The other two at Tersan (Turkey) yards.
