Beyond being dedicated to develop solutions for a greener shipping industry, NG3 is keen to reduce as much as possible the environmental impact of its activities, in particular by :
  • optimizing, as much as much as possible, the weight and energy efficiency of the solutions we propose
  • optimizing its industrial organization to avoid excessive transportation, in particular by having most of its subcontractors close by
  • optimizing, as much as possible, business travels, avoiding, whenever possible, air travels

Commitment to safety

NG3 commitment to safety is by far not limited to compliance with Class requirements or uthorities’ requirements (such as CE marking). From the design and requirement assessment phase, we focus on safety taking as a design driver not only the control, but the avoidance of potential hazards.

This is illustrated for example with :

  • NG3 PLUG solution which avoids any direct handling of connectors and cables by the crew
  • NG3 FLYING PLUG solution avoids any mixing of shore power and cargo operations at the cargo manifold

Commitment to economical performance

NG3 commitment to economical performance starts right from the design phase, for example :

  • NG3 PLUG solution connexion is out of the vessel’s envelope, avoiding any loss of payload volume (such as passenger cabins or car space…)
  • NG3 AMP by NG3 solution avoids any container slot losses
  • NG3 FLYING PLUG solution located at the aft of the vessel reduce on board cable routing

Commitment to innovation

To address the shipping industry environmental, safety and economical challenges, state of the art or “make do “ solutions are not enough and in all its product NG3 propose game changing solutions to reduce environmental footprint, improve safety and economical performance. For example:

  • In our AMP by NG3 CMS design, we avoid the need for medium voltage rotating contacts and loss of container slots
  • In our SMART auto mooring design, we avoid the need of vacuum based technology by using a simple hook design located outside the hull envelope , without impact on the passenger area
  • In our ECOFLARE GCU design, we reduce the number of motorfan required to the minimum and suppress the need of air gate valves and ducts, allowing to reduce not only the parts number, the steel work but as well the required input power
