NG3 TANK for LNG Land storage

This innovation aims at increasing the environmental and economical performance of LNG on shore storage tanks, by replacing natural gas vapors by argon in the insulation spaces..

With regard to the side circular insulation volumes, required hardware modifications are negligible, allowing implementation on a retrofit basis, on existing tanks already in operations.

In this case, the yearly Boil Off Gas losses which can be saved are estimated to 2 to 3 % of the tank capacity.

For new built tank, this innovation can be applied as well on the insulation volume above the suspended roof , requiring minimal design modification to trap the argon gas there by gravity.

In this case, the yearly Boil Off Gas losses which can be saved are estimated to 4 to 5 % of the tank capacity.
